They were really busy at the bar and outside tables, so we opted for the Club Members Lounge (and why not?- I'm a club member! #Perks).  Inside here was a couch and many chairs.

Shortly after choosing our seats on the couch, our wine host, Tony, arrived with our first tasting. Two more couples, who are longtime members, soon joined us, and we all had the best time.

What we tasted:

2015 Estate Rosé (bonus pour and described as “purpose made” Rosé)

the Adelaida District. The layout couldn’t be more perfect: inside it's very large, with very high ceilings

Adelaida’s NEW Tasting Room-

Is GORGEOUS! It was worth the wait for sure. It’s on a second level with a beautiful scenic view of

and a standing only, square tasting bar in the middle; there's also a beautiful fireplace accompanied by a couple of chairs, and their soils proudly displayed on the mantel.

To the right of the entrance, there is another room, which appears to be for private tastings, while to the left is the Club Members Lounge- a good sized, private tasting room exclusively for their wine club members.

In addition to all this, there is a very large outdoor deck with many tables and chairs scattered around. Downstairs is a HUGE room, which looks like it is raring to go for an awesome party!

The wines were SO amazing, and I can’t stress enough how important it is to serve wines at their proper temperature. To be completely honest, prior to this visit I was teetering on quitting their wine club for two reasons: 1.) Wine storage (it’s a total of a case a year and I belong to a few wine clubs) and 2.) A few of the wines I consumed at home just tasted so-so to me.

Which brings me back to the proper temperature. On this day, the wines were drinking beautifully, and I realized my mistake of not taking the time to serve them at the proper drinking temperature. It really makes THAT much of a difference!

I should also add that the people who work there are always so super friendly and helpful. We’ve been there so many times, it seems like we’ve been helped by just about the entire staff!

What we bought (even though the spring shipment was about to go out):
2014 HMR Chardonnay (our favorite of the whites)
2013 Viking Red Blend (our favorite of the reds)

2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles (our other favorite red)
