After slightly sulking over the shortage of white wines (#wineproblems), we then moved on to their red wines, and our sulking quickly ceased. They have a lot of fun blends! Plus Italian varietals, like Sangiovese, and some higher end wines, like their Mountain Zinfandel, which is their flagship wine. Really good wines, which are very reasonably priced- you really couldn’t ask for more.

Opolo Vineyards-

Opolo is another one of those wineries that has been on our radar to visit for a while now, as it comes highly recommended from other wineries, as well as Paso residents. Not only that, but they

Just outside the tasting room is a large outdoor, covered, seating area, which has great views looking out on the vineyard. Also adjacent is the Barrel Room, which is another large space set up to do winemaker dinners, blending experiences, parties, etc.  As if all that isn't enough, next to the Barrel Room, is their Distillery.  Opolo not only makes wine, but they also make a few brandies, as well! They also have a hotel on the property called, The Inn at Opolo, which looks really beautiful.

This place has everything!

But hey, it happens. Just gives us another reason to go back and do more research.

The tasting room is rather big, with tasting bars lining the room. All over the entire room there are tons of wine swag, clothing, and even chocolate covered goodies!  We found a space at one of the bars and we were, greeted quickly by our wine host, Chloe. Even though it was VERY busy, she took excellent care of us!

On this day, which was Super Bowl Sunday to be exact, they were sold out of a lot of their wine, which is great for them! We were a little bummed though to not taste more of their white wines, especially after we got to try the one white wine that they were pouring, their Roussanne. Yum!

want to invite us to your party

their "Pairings On The Patio" menu HERE.

We didn’t get to spend as much time at Opolo as we would have liked to, since we did have a Super Bowl party to attend and we still needed to pick up ice (we’re really good guests if you ever

Plus, there's that aforementioned pizza! Anyway, the food looked incredible and you can check out

I think it’s a perfect winery that could please a large group, with everyone finding something that they liked; they have a really

good variety for all palates... and, did we mention that they have a pizza oven?

follow us on Instagram, so we needed to at least stop by and thank them! It’s definitely more of the tourist type winery, and I mean that in the most positive way! It’s exactly the picturesque winery that you should add to your agenda for a well-rounded wine tasting trip. The winery is beautiful (check), lots of photo opportunities, (check) there’s a restaurant with a pizza oven, (check), a great tasting room, (check), and wonderful wines! Check, and check! Honestly, they had Michael at "pizza," but we'll leave that for a separate discussion! #pizzaproblems
